It’s been a year, but Ramadan’s finally here! For those of you struggling to wake up for sahur, desperately shushing their stomachs through the day, and trying to refrain from all the other worldly desires we’re used to, we thought we’d remind you about the great things Ramadan brings.
No lunch worries
Now you don’t need to spend 20 minutes just figuring out where to eat. That lunch hour is all yours for you to read a book, take a walk, catch up on work…
…orrrrr take a nap. Yeah, a nap’s good too.
Leaving the office early
Congratulations, you get to prep for buka while everyone else is anxiously watching the clock and waiting to go home. We just hope you picked the correct timing to head off so you don’t get stuck in a jam with the rest of the fasting crowd.
Your favourite pasar ramadan food
Murtabak, ayam percik, bubur lambuk, tepung pelita…we could go on. Some are everyday fare made more delicious by the season, and some you only see once a year. And they’re all delicious!
An abundance of date-ing opportunities
Just the Yusuf Taiyoob kind, but still.
This is the best time of year for all the jokers (and perhaps the worst for their long-suffering victims). Want a different date every night? Have five dates before 9 pm? Want to make sure your friend has a date for the weekend…ok, ok, we’ll stop. For now.
Getting together with friends
Everyone we asked agreed – there’s nothing like calling up your besties AND the kakis you see like clockwork once a year to pray, eat and catch up together-gether!
That terawih mood
On a more serious note, this is a good time to deepen your faith and work on becoming a better person. Particularly because Iblis and gang are supposed to be nicely locked away for the month so they can’t kacau you.
Wardrobe makeovers
Out with the old and in with the new! Some of us are already planning how to clean out their wardrobes – just try not to stuff it with anything that doesn’t spark joy this time.
The sales
New baju for you, new curtains for the house, new tires on the car…yes, it’s time to start making everything feel fresh and festive, and the discounts make it even sweeter!
The Love Raya, Love Yoodo campaign
We also have some bonuses for our loyal users and users to be – and yes, it’s all happening during Ramadan and Raya too!
New Yoodo users will get limited-edition duit raya packets with their first SIM. What’s not to like about free gifts with your free SIM? For existing Yoodo users, you stand a chance to win RM20 duit raya as Yoodo wallet credit when you spend a minimum of RM50 on your Data/Voice/SMS plan.
So hang in there this Ramadan – there’s a lot to celebrate even before it’s Raya time!
